Ok, things are getting crazy but definitely coming along. Yesterday, we shampooed and rolled all but one of the area rugs that the movers are taking. We also stitched every hole in the couch. I think there were about 12 in all. The kids have been allowed to play hard on the couch and the cushions have been pulled/ripped from the base..... so these were VERY big tears, not just little holes. We also shampooed the couch. I just don't want to put any dirty furniture/rugs into storage for a month. When our stuff is delivered, I want to be able to do light dusting, and that is it! Last night, after the kids were put in bed (they did not stay in bed, ugh), two of my neighbors came over to help me clear out my craft room. I have accumulated so many things that I swore I'd use for one project or another, one day, eventually. The result of my greedy attitude was a very cluttered craft room. Having the ladies here was nice and made it easy to get rid of stuff. If they're going to use it, it's easier to get rid of than to throw it away. I got rid of enough stuff to fill my laundry room, and I don't have a tiny laundry room! I'll have to post pictures of the "craft room" later. I can not wait when the movers get here, to get to that door, tell them "this is a storage closet", then see their faces when they realize there is hardly anything in there for them to pack up! What a relief for them!!!
Ok, I need to get going. LOTS of more packing and cleaning planned today AFTER our play date this morning. Going to see some friends ONE MORE TIME before we put this place in our rear view mirror. Can't believe the movers come on Thursday and we leave next Wednesday!
Oh, wait, real quick..... I need to give a shout out to God! We had been a bit concerned about all the expenses that will come with this trip. The way you do a military move, you can have some of your funds advanced to you. Matthew and I had just been talking the other morning about how tight things would be, but how we could make it work. Then, Matthew came to the computer to check the bank account.... the advanced funds turned about to be nearly 2.5 times the amount we had anticipated. I stopped right then and there and started praising the Lord. I started to giggle after a bit.... I wonder what He was thinking while Matthew and I were talking about how it would be tight, but we'd be ok. I'm sure He was giggling, knowing He had blessed us beyond what we thought possible! HE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME HE IS GOOD!!!!!
