Dr Kacenga says I'm about 3cm dilated but I have not thinned out anymore than a couple weeks ago when he sent me to L&D. He agrees it's time for medical intervention, and thank the Lord for that! An elderly woman at the commissary took one look at my belly and said "Child, that belly is so tight, are you contracting?" I was. It was so sweet how she said it, in such a sweet, southern, old black woman kind of tone. I could have just kissed her! I try so hard to put on a smile and pretend like I'm not in pain. This lady looked into me and saw my strength. She saw my pain, but she saw my joy! I assured her I'd be out of pain sometime Wednesday, and she said "Bless you, Child". I don't like being called "child" because of my youth (and I'm claiming youth right now), but that's not how she meant it, and I could tell. She somehow knew that I'm a child of God. Talk about the right word at the right time..... I won't even try to go into what I felt talking with her for those 2 minutes. I'm just so glad I got to have those two minutes with her. And I'm so glad she chose to open her mouth and talk to me!!!! Such a sweet, dear woman!
Anyway, Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 it is! And I am SO excited! Although, I'm contracting A LOT tonight and it hurts so bad, I'm shouting out in pain..... wouldn't it be just like MY daughter to come just as soon as we planned for later? LOL! I'm ok with whatever happens, especially knowing that Wednesday WILL be the end of this if nothing else happens first. I can't wait to kiss her head, count her toes, and hold her head to my chest as I sing to her! Really, I can't wait to introduce her to her brother and sister. Anika and Ki are BOTH excited to meet her. They went with us to the doctor today and got to hear her heartbeat. Ki giggle with delight and Ani had her eyebrows raised the whole time. Anika told Dr Kacenga that I need to go to the hossable and push her sister out...... then Ki walked up and said "my sister". It was kind of funny, but I was actually holding back tears at the time after just having a painful contraction.
Ok, we just got The Princess and the Frog, so I'm going to snuggle with my loves and watch.

Is that your eldest's birthday? I'm the 27th and my sister and son are both on the 28th!
