Yesterday and Today....

Yesterday was a busy day. The kids spent the morning getting into things, and I spent the morning cleaning up one mess as they were making another. Do you ever feel like you will NEVER catch up to them? Those are the days I wish I never had to use the bathroom, cos a 2 minute trip will get me even more behind. Eventually, Ki had his huge bowl of grits, Ani had oatmeal, and we lathered up in sunblock for a trip to the park across the street. The kids also got to eat lunch outside. Yesterday, it was up to mid 70's and gorgeous! We picked up the mail, and to my grand excitement, I received a package from a dear friend, Sarah. I knew she was sending me a package, and I knew most of the contents, but I was still so excited! She sent me TONS of cloth diapers. She has been talking to me about cloth and explaining things to me in a way I can understand. For my mom and the women of her generation, cloth diapering is no longer just pre-folds and pins..... although, you can go that route..... it is rather adorable! There are all different kinds of pre-folds (Sarah sent me some Indian cotton, unbleached..... the softest) and all sorts of covers.... some are AIO (all in ones) and some use inserts. She has taught me about how to wash them, how much I need, etc. Sarah is the main reason that I'm beyond excited to cloth diaper Alohi's bum!!!!

The picture of everything on the table is the contents of the package from Sarah. I'm still in shock at how much she sent. She's an awesome support/encouragement in this!

Alohi update: contractions are REALLY hurting! I can not sleep through ANY of them! They now get to the intensity they've been at, stay there for a few seconds, and then get worse. I do heavy blowing, and at the most painful part, I find myself saying or blowing "ow ow ow ow" through it. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon! I am praying that A) Dr Kacenga WILL be there and not called away to deliver a baby, and B) He will schedule induction/augmentation for Monday morning. I'm exhausted...... it's time, it just is!

I can't believe it's nearly 8am and my monkeys are still sleeping! I had better use the bathroom before they wake up and need every bit of Mommy that is left, and more!
