Can we talk poop? Just for a minute?

We have some VERY exciting news!  Malkiah is potty trained!!!!!!
He knows what he's doing and he's not scared to do it!
We figured out the big hang up in going number 2: it hurts him! :(
I used scare tactics to get him to poo on the potty the first time.
Don't jude me; I'm a desperate Mama wanting to get the thought of diapering
3 at a time out of my mind!  And Ki just turned 3.... the thought of diapering
a 4 year old boy has been haunting me since his birthday in March!
I feel bad for him, though!  I thought we had his gluten issues
all straightened out.  Now that he's going potty for all output, I know
it's not at all under control.  He goes number two 6+ times a day!
He'll announce, "oh my tummy hurts", then run for the potty!
I think he's afraid of getting his big boy pants dirty.  And I think
when he was in a diaper, he'd hold it in for a while, creating 1 or 2
dirty diapers a day.  Poor thing!  :(  I need to get him to a doc so we can pin point
all his food allergies and make his tummy happy!
Regardless, I'm SO PROUD of him!  And to be honest, with BM's like that,
I'm not sure that I would be able to get it all in the potty!

Ok, this part is sort of along the same lines!
We decided to stop using gDiapers.
I LOVE them, but from diapering more than one at a time,
there's a hidden cost: the snap in liner!
Every few months, you are supposed to replace them.
That's every few months of diapering ONE child!  Because I was
diapering Ki AND Lo in them, they were wearing quicker and causing
leaks.  To be replacing the liners as often as need be would be
pretty expensive, so I searched for a new cloth diaper.
I clicked on an ad a long time ago on Facebook (I think this is
the only FB ad I ever gave a moment's attention to).
I found these awesome diapers that are VERY inexpensive!
They just showed up today and I have them in the wash.
I am BEYOND impressed by the quality of them.  And they are
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO soft!  SERIOUSLY!  If I were a baby, I'd
definitely want THESE on my bum!

The prices are so low, I thought, this is too good to be true!
I found they WERE selling them on e-bay, though, and that's how I
purchased.  If you don't get what you pay for on there, it's easier to
get your money back, so it was risk free!  We payed $89, shipping and
taxes already included.  We received 10 diapers (we chose the style and colors)
and a total of 15 soakers.  They are in the wash right now and I can not wait to get
them on Loey's little bum!  I'll let you know how they hold up!
Pretty sure we'll be buying (or asking friends to buy) more for Ædith!

I had the same thing happen with Libbie! Poops are always squished in a diaper so I didn't realize until she potty trained that she pretty much always had diarrhea =( Took her in and turns out that is a normal variation at this age and just upped her fiber intake. Could be the case with him too...I'm sure that is harder working around a gluten allergy.
YAY for cloth diapers!! You are going to love them!!

Awwwww, poor Libbie!!! Yeah, with Ki, I'm pretty sure it's food allergies, as there is a distinct "aroma" of it that's not like any other diarrhea. Stop reading if you have a weak stomach or you're eating..... it smells like rancid vomit! In regards to the cloth diapers, we already love them! I used the cloth inserts in gDiapers, so I'm used to it all. The soakers that came with these diapers seem fantastic! I only washed and dryed once before putting them on her. When I took her diaper off to change her into her pj's, I was in shock. The diaper seemed bone dry, but the insert was so heavy from all it absorbed! I'm very impressed with the quality of these dipes as I didn't expect so much for such a small price.
